HyperCube SMP Server

A brand new server has just opened up for the Minecraft 1.19 Wild update. The HyperCube SMP is a minecraft server dedicated to SMP and even a plot gamemode. There are many unique features offered in this server that are extremely polished.

HOW TO JOIN THE SERVER

Joining the HyperCube SMP Server is slightly different compared to regular servers. You have to join the server discord server which can be found towards the bottom of this article. Once you're in, leave your in-game user name in the chat and you will be manually given access to join the realm. This is to make sure that there are no bots joining the realm and that everyone has a way to interact with the staff of this server. The HyperCube SMP is focused on building a strong community of server players.

WHAT ARE PLOTS:

HyperCube has a plot gamemode which is a gamemode that gives players the opportunity to express themselves in a creative way. Players are taken to an open space where there are dozens of grids or plots that a player can claim. Once they claimed a plot, that land is now owned by them and they are the only ones that build on it. From here, players are able to build whatever they want on their plot. From builds of pixel art or even a modern house, there are many custom creations on these plots. The plots can be changed at any time but have a certain height limit. 

ONE PLAYER SLEEP:

One extremely useful addon this server has is the one player sleep addon. This will allow for only one player needing to sleep in order for the day time to come instead of having all players on the server sleep at the same time. Sometimes, players are caving, in the nether or in situations where players don't have access to a bed. Also, during the night time many hostile mobs tend to start spawning such as zombies. These zombies can group together and do some real damage to players. It's best to always keep it at day time so everything is visible and so no zombies or skeletons spawn. Also this will prevent the dreaded "phantom" mob from spawning which will dive in to attack a player after they haven't slept after a few days. A large portion of the Minecraft community views phantoms as burdens and often make the claim that they don't contribute much to the game. Thankfully, this addon can help prevent a few of these issues. 

TOWNS:

Throughout the survival world you may stumble upon towns created by the staff of this server. These towns have many houses in them and you can go ahead and build your own house in the town. Each town has a unique style to them. Some towns have a more medieval theme while others might have a modern theme. These towns are perfect for meeting other players or meeting traders. You may trade items you have in return for other items. 

EVENTS:

Every so often there are special events hosted in the realm where anyone can join them. These events will most likely be announced on the HyperCube discord server. Events are usually held during the holiday seasons or during vacation time for students. These events include build battles where each player must build anything related to a single theme within a certain amount of time. Once that time is over the other server members will vote for the person who in their opinion had the best builds. 

SERVER REVIEW:

In the short time that this server has been online, it has already gotten an amazing reputation. Many people enjoy the attentiveness of the staff and how they interact with their playbases. The server is getting more and more people which means people tend to be on the server at all times of the day.
